Meet Katherine

Katherine Mitchem founded Signature Sojourns after a 25-year career as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both mental health and medical settings. Recognizing it was time for a change, she turned her lifelong passion for travel and helping others into her second career by joining Departure Lounge as a luxury travel advisor. Her experience in mental health has become a surprising and invaluable asset in her travel work. Katherine brings empathy, understanding, attention to detail, and a sincere desire to learn what truly matters to each client. Her goal is simple: to help clients experience the world in a way that feels effortless, meaningful, and unforgettable. Katherine is committed to excellence through diligent research, strong global relationships, and highly personalized, client-focused travel planning.
